Musical Performances
I offer a variety of musical services in and around Central Texas. This includes solo and ensemble performances for weddings, concerts, and special events.
Performance offerings range across multiple genres and repertoires tailored to each occasion, from classical pieces to sacred music to pop. I work with clients to personalize each performance according to their needs.
Music Lessons
I offer instruction across all ages for both violin and viola. Lesson times are flexible and can be offered in-person (preferred) or remotely. I am a certified music teacher in the state of Texas, and I have taught students of all ages and abilities. I am able to tailor lessons based on the strengths and weaknesses of my students.
Above all, I am deeply devoted to cultivating in my students the virtues that result from practicing and mastering an instrument, the confidence built by success in public performance, and the appreciation of the Beautiful.
Students are given the opportunity to perform in twice-yearly recitals to demonstrate their talents to friends and family.
About Me
I graduated from Rice University in 2019 with a Master of Arts in viola performance, studying under James Dunham. Prior to that, I graduated from Rice University with a dual major in viola performance and music history.
I currently serve as the assistant principal violist for the Waco Symphony Orchestra. Previously, I was the principal violist in the Clear Lake Symphony. I have also performed with the Houston Ballet Orchestra, the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra, the Abilene Philharmonic, Temple Symphony, New World Symphony, and the Mercury Chamber Orchestra.
I served as an adjunct professor of strings at the College of the Mainland in Texas City, Texas. I am a certified music teacher and was previously a teacher and founding orchestra director at St. Mary Catholic School in League City, Texas.
I have conducted private lessons with dozens of students over the years ranging from kindergarten to college.
I am especially interested in sacred music and the cultivation of beauty in the Christian church.
